Job Overview
Twyford International Uganda is seeking a dynamic Building Material Sales Specialist to join their growing team in Kapeeka, Luwero District. This role focuses on promoting and selling high-quality sanitary ware products to contractors, developers, architects, retailers and project owners throughout Uganda. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships, understand client needs, provide tailored solutions and consistently achieve sales targets.
As a Building Material Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic B2B and project-based sales initiatives. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product availability. This position requires frequent travel across Uganda to meet clients and attend project sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Twyford’s sanitary ware product range to contractors, developers and architects across Uganda.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients including retailers and project owners.
- Conduct regular site visits to understand project requirements and provide appropriate product solutions.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and quotations to potential and existing customers.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals while achieving monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor activities and customer preferences to inform sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure accurate product specifications and timely delivery.
- Attend industry exhibitions and trade shows to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.
- Provide after-sales support and handle customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Maintain accurate sales records and forecast future demand based on market trends and project pipelines.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Minimum 4-6 years of proven experience in sanitary ware or building materials sales within the Ugandan market.
- Demonstrated track record of success in B2B or project-based sales environments with measurable results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong negotiation abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of sanitary ware products, applications and installation requirements.
- Valid Ugandan driving permit and willingness to travel extensively across the country for client meetings.
Desirable
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and plumbing specifications is advantageous.
- Previous experience working with international brands or multinational companies in Uganda.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools to manage customer interactions effectively.
- Basic understanding of construction processes and project timelines in the building sector.
- Additional language skills such as Luganda or Swahili to communicate with diverse client groups.
