Job Overview
The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking a highly skilled Consultant (Trainer) to join its team in Kampala, Uganda. As a Consultant (Trainer), you will be responsible for preparing and delivering training sessions in the identified countries. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. The Consultant (Trainer) will be based in Kampala, Uganda and will work closely with relevant stakeholders to design and execute capacity strengthening activities for TTC training topics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and capacity building, with experience in fleet management, workshop management, driver training, and overall HGV/LV maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
As a Consultant (Trainer) with the World Food Programme, you will be responsible for the following key tasks: Conduct scoping missions in selected countries to identify needs and gaps across Global Fleet workforce and operations. This will involve working closely with local stakeholders to understand the training needs of the Global Fleet workforce and identifying areas for improvement. Advise stakeholders in selected countries in designing and executing capacity strengthening activities for TTC training topics. This will involve working closely with local trainers and stakeholders to develop training content and delivery plans that meet the needs of the Global Fleet workforce. Prepare and deliver training on fleet management, workshop management, driver training, and overall HGV/LV maintenance (preventive maintenance, diagnostic procedures, etc.). This will involve developing training content and delivering training sessions to the Global Fleet workforce in selected countries. Contribute to the development of training content closely with relevant stakeholders. This will involve working closely with local trainers and stakeholders to develop training content that meets the needs of the Global Fleet workforce.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful as a Consultant (Trainer) with the World Food Programme, you will need to have the following qualifications and experience: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as education, training, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in training and capacity building, with a focus on fleet management, workshop management, driver training, and overall HGV/LV maintenance. Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, with a focus on capacity strengthening and development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with local stakeholders and trainers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify needs and gaps in the Global Fleet workforce and develop solutions to address these gaps.
