- Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting engineering channels, building materials distributors, interior design firms, and furniture manufacturers across Uganda.
- Conduct regular site visits and product demonstrations to showcase technical specifications and practical applications of construction formwork and furniture boards.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial lead generation through to contract closure, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed and filed.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- A minimum of a Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a recognized Ugandan institution.
- At least one year of hands-on experience in sales, preferably within the building materials, hardware, or furniture supply industry in East Africa.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical product specifications to non-technical clients.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders including contractors, architects, and procurement managers.
Desirable
- A Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Engineering is highly advantageous for career progression within the company.
- Previous experience working with construction formwork systems or furniture board manufacturing processes will be a significant asset.
- Familiarity with the Ugandan building regulations and standards ensures smoother project coordination and compliance.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite to maintain accurate sales pipelines and client databases.
What the Role Offers
- A competitive basic salary plus an uncapped commission structure based on individual and team performance, ensuring your earnings reflect your hard work.
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage for you and your immediate family, providing peace of mind in Uganda’s private healthcare sector.
- Monthly transport allowance and a fuel card to cover the extensive travel required across Kampala and surrounding districts for client meetings and site visits.
- Regular lunch allowances during working hours and occasional team-building events to foster a supportive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Clear career progression pathways, including professional development opportunities and training on new product launches and sales methodologies.
