Job Overview

Liberty Insurance Uganda is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Diocesan Team Coordinator to lead life assurance sales initiatives across assigned dioceses. This pivotal role bridges corporate strategy with grassroots engagement, ensuring the successful distribution of life assurance products within faith-based communities. The coordinator will manage a network of agents while simultaneously championing the integration of the COU Wellness App, a digital health initiative designed to serve members of the Church of Uganda. This position is ideal for a professional who combines strong sales leadership with a deep understanding of community structures and religious institutions. The role is based in Uganda and requires extensive travel across multiple dioceses, including Kinkizi, Kigezi, Luwero, Ruwenzori, South Ankole, Madi & West Nile, Karamoja, and Nebbi. The successful candidate will report directly to the regional sales management team and will be instrumental in expanding Liberty Insurance’s market share within these specific diocesan territories. This is a full-time position offering a competitive package and the opportunity to make a significant impact in communities across Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve life assurance targets within the assigned diocesan territories.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a network of local sales agents and distributors to ensure consistent product representation.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of COU Wellness App activities, including user onboarding and promotional campaigns.
  • Conduct regular market analysis and provide feedback on product suitability and customer feedback to the head office.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with diocesan leadership, clergy, and community stakeholders to facilitate brand trust.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports for regional management review.
  • Organize and lead community engagement events, health camps, and product awareness seminars within each diocese.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or Commerce from a recognized institution.
  • Proven track record of at least 2 to 3 years in sales management, insurance distribution, or community-based marketing roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate diverse groups of people.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills capable of handling multiple priorities across different geographical locations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data analysis tools for report generation and performance tracking.
  • Valid Ugandan driving license and willingness to travel extensively across rural and urban diocesan areas.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within religious institutions, NGOs, or community development organizations in Uganda.
  • Familiarity with the Church of Uganda (COU) structure, diocesan leadership, and community engagement protocols.
  • Certification in insurance sales, financial planning, or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Knowledge of digital health platforms or experience in coordinating mobile application rollouts within community settings.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Marketing, or a related field from an accredited university.

What the Role Offers

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based commissions and bonuses tied to diocesan sales targets.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage for the employee and immediate family members, including outpatient and inpatient benefits.
  • Monthly transport allowance and travel reimbursements to cover extensive diocesan touring and field assignments.
  • Professional development support including training courses, certification funding, and mentorship from senior sales leaders.
  • Structured career progression pathway within Liberty Insurance Uganda’s expanding regional sales network.
  • Company-provided mobile device and data bundle to facilitate communication and digital app coordination in the field.
  • Annual leave entitlement of 21 days plus public holidays, with flexible scheduling to accommodate diocesan event calendars.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should compile their curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, and a concise cover letter highlighting relevant diocesan sales experience into a single PDF or Word document.
