Job Overview

Welthungerhilfe is seeking two dedicated MEAL Officers to serve in Arua and Moroto districts. As a MEAL Officer, you will work directly with project teams to establish robust data collection systems and ensure compliance with donor requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation systems that meet project management and donor requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with project teams to assess implementation progress, support capacity building initiatives, and facilitate quality data collection.
• Participate actively in programme and project design processes, including developing theory of change frameworks and logical frameworks for funding proposals.
• Mainstream Core Humanitarian Standards and Feedback Complaints Response Mechanisms to enhance community accountability and responsiveness.
• Establish and maintain organized databases, conduct thorough data analysis, and regularly update project deliverables and indicator performance reports.
• Design and implement surveys such as baseline studies, evaluations, and assessments to inform programme improvements and demonstrate impact.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of two years’ professional experience in monitoring and evaluation roles within humanitarian or development organizations in Uganda.
• Strong proficiency in data collection tools, SPSS, Excel, and other statistical software for rigorous data analysis and reporting.

Desirable

• Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, or a related discipline would be a significant advantage.
• Proven experience working in Northern Uganda, particularly in Arua or Moroto districts, with understanding of local contexts.
• Certification in Core Humanitarian Standards training or previous experience with FCRM implementation in humanitarian settings.
