Job Overview

Stanbic Bank Uganda is seeking a dynamic Marketing & Client Events Officer to lead brand strategy and client engagement initiatives within its Corporate & Investment Banking division. This role sits at the intersection of strategic marketing, high-impact events, and client relationship deepening.

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating CIB business strategy into actionable marketing plans and executing memorable client experiences that reinforce Stanbic’s market leadership in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the disciplined execution of Group Functions & CIB brand, marketing, and client engagement programmes that strengthen market position.
• Translate CIB business strategy, client priorities, and sector opportunities into an annual marketing and client engagement plan with measurable KPIs.
• Provide proactive marketing counsel to CIB leadership, product teams, relationship managers, and sector teams to drive client acquisition and retention.
• Identify opportunities that strengthen client acquisition, relationship deepening, sector relevance, thought leadership, and market differentiation across Uganda.
• Plan and execute integrated CIB campaigns across paid, owned, earned, digital, and experiential channels with clear ROI tracking.
• Coordinate content, creative development, media, public relations, digital journeys, internal alignment, and frontline enablement for all campaigns.
• Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of executive engagements, client forums, roundtables, sector events, conferences, and sponsorship activations.
• Champion consistent and high-quality application of brand standards across all CIB campaigns, presentations, communications, events, and client touchpoints.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field from a recognized university.
• At least 3 years of progressive experience in marketing, client engagement, or events management within banking, financial services, or corporate environments in Uganda.
• Proven track record of planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns and high-profile client events with measurable outcomes.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Desirable

• Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications is an added advantage.
• Experience working in Corporate & Investment Banking or a similar division within a major financial institution in East Africa.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and AI-enabled analytics platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners.
