Job Overview

Faraja Digital is seeking a Marketing Communication and Growth Officer to lead brand visibility, audience expansion, and business development across Uganda. This role integrates marketing, public relations, and digital growth to convert relationships into contracts and retainers.

The successful candidate will manage campaigns, content creation, and lead generation while ensuring Faraja Digital and FDTV maintain a strong market presence. You will bridge creative production with client acquisition, turning visibility into measurable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with Faraja Digital’s growth objectives across Uganda.
  • Manage brand messaging consistency across social media, website, newsletters, and all client-facing materials to reinforce market positioning.
  • Produce case studies, portfolios, and company profiles that showcase past projects, capabilities, and client success stories for proposal support.
  • Conduct market research to identify new client segments, partnership opportunities, and sponsorship prospects within the Ugandan digital economy.
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking events, digital outreach, email campaigns, and direct business development activities in Kampala and beyond.
  • Maintain an up-to-date CRM database of prospects, decision-makers, and key stakeholders with regular follow-up schedules and meeting coordination.
  • Support the conversion of short-term projects into long-term retainers and recurring revenue streams through strategic client relationship management.
  • Coordinate the sales pipeline process including proposal drafting, contract negotiations, and post-sale client onboarding for seamless delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized Ugandan university or equivalent professional certification.
  • Minimum three years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or business development roles within Ugandan media, digital services, or creative industries.
  • Proven track record of developing successful marketing campaigns that generated qualified leads and increased brand visibility in competitive Ugandan markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Luganda, with the ability to present compelling pitches to C-level executives and government officials.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools including social media management platforms, email marketing software, CRM systems, and basic analytics dashboards.

Desirable

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, MBA, or Communications from a reputable institution would be a significant advantage for strategic leadership roles.
  • Existing professional network within Ugandan corporate sector, media houses, government agencies, and international development organizations.
  • Experience working with television production companies, digital streaming platforms, or content distribution networks in East Africa.
  • Certification in digital marketing platforms such as Google Analytics, Facebook Blueprint, or HubSpot Content Marketing certification.
  • Fluency in additional East African languages including Swahili, Runyankole, or Ateso to expand regional outreach capabilities.
