Job Overview

The Country Sales Manager at BrighterMonday Consulting is the primary commercial leader for Uganda, responsible for driving market growth and ensuring customer success across the entire lifecycle. This role integrates sales, account management, and customer support into one cohesive leadership position.

Reporting directly to the Head of Commercialization, the Country Manager acts as a one-person general manager for the country’s commercial operations. The position demands end-to-end responsibility for market expansion, customer acquisition, and long-term relationship building in Uganda’s dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute country-specific sales strategies aligned with BrighterMonday’s overall business objectives and growth targets.
  • Lead high-stakes negotiations with key partners, educational institutions, and corporate clients to secure strategic deals and partnerships.
  • Manage the complete customer lifecycle from initial acquisition through onboarding, ongoing support, and successful renewal processes.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing training, coaching, and performance management to achieve quarterly and annual targets.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging trends in the Ugandan education and recruitment sector.
  • Coordinate with customer support teams to ensure exceptional service delivery, addressing client concerns promptly and maintaining high satisfaction rates.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales management, business development, or account management roles within Uganda or regional markets.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and building successful client relationships in competitive environments.

Desirable

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline would be an added advantage.
  • Experience working within the education technology, recruitment, or consulting sectors in East Africa is highly valued.
  • Strong proficiency in CRM software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite for effective sales pipeline management and reporting.
