  • Participate in weekly team meetings and training sessions to enhance product knowledge and collection techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements and ethical lending standards in daily operations.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum diploma from a recognised university or institution in business, finance, economics or related field.
  • Demonstrated good communication skills in both English and Luganda or other local languages relevant to branch location.
  • Ability to work effectively under minimum supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity.
  • Basic computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for report preparation and data entry.
  • Valid Ugandan national ID and willingness to travel within the assigned branch catchment area for client meetings.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in microfinance, banking or savings and credit cooperative organisations (SACCOs) is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of local market conditions and economic activities in Gayaza, Mukono, Iganga or Kireka areas.
  • Proven negotiation skills and ability to explain financial products clearly to clients with varying levels of financial literacy.
  • Experience using loan management software or digital financial services platforms in previous roles.
  • Certificate in credit risk management, microfinance operations or related professional training programmes.

What the Role Offers

  • Competitive monthly salary commensurate with experience and qualifications plus performance-based incentives tied to portfolio quality.
  • Comprehensive on-the-job training and mentorship from experienced branch managers and senior credit officers.
