Job Overview
Atmos is recruiting atmosphere models for events, product launches, brand activations and club nights across Kampala. This is straightforward paid work for women who are comfortable in social settings and reliable about turning up on time.
An atmosphere model is part of what makes a venue feel alive. You attend the event, you look presentable, and you are good company for the guests around you. Organisers book our models so their events feel full and welcoming rather than half empty.
This is not bar work. You are not serving drinks, carrying trays, handling money or working behind a counter. Your job is to be present, be sociable and help the atmosphere of the room, which is exactly what the title describes.
Most of the women who work with us are university students and recent graduates in Kampala who want an income that fits around lectures. No previous experience is required, and we explain what each booking expects before you accept it.
Bookings are arranged in advance through a coordinator. You are told the venue, the date, the hours and the dress code before you accept, and you are free to decline any booking that does not suit you. Nothing is ever assigned without your agreement.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend booked events, launches and club nights at venues in and around Kampala city
- Arrive at the agreed time and stay for the full period the booking covers
- Present yourself according to the dress code communicated for that specific event
- Engage naturally with guests and help the room feel busy, warm and welcoming
- Represent the venue and the event organiser positively for the whole booking
- Confirm your availability in advance so bookings can be planned and staffed properly
- Report any problem, discomfort or safety concern at a venue to your coordinator immediately
- Keep client and venue details private, as discretion is expected in both directions
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- You are 18 years or older and can present a valid government identification document
- You are comfortable meeting new people in busy and often loud social environments
- You can travel to venues around Kampala on the evenings you have accepted
- You are reachable on WhatsApp and dependable about confirming or declining a booking
- You are willing to follow the dress code and timing agreed for each event
Desirable
- Previous experience in hosting, promotion, ushering, modelling or brand activation work
- Current enrolment at a Kampala university or a recent qualification from one
- Flexible evening and weekend availability, since that is when most bookings happen
- Confidence speaking with guests in both English and Luganda during an event
- A reliable smartphone for receiving booking details and confirming attendance quickly
What the Role Offers
- Payment for every booking, with the amount agreed before you accept the work
- Entry to events, launches and venues you would otherwise pay to attend yourself
- Flexible scheduling that works around lectures, coursework and examination periods
- Repeat bookings rather than one off jobs once you are established with our coordinators
- One coordinator who handles all arrangements, so you deal with a single point of contact
- Work that builds confidence and useful contacts in the Kampala events industry
- The freedom to decline any booking without affecting the offers you receive later
How to Apply
Applications are reviewed by our team in Kampala. We look for reliability and presentation rather than experience, so a first time applicant is at no disadvantage against someone who has done event work before.
Complete the short online application with your contact details, your availability and a few recent photographs. The form takes a few minutes and you can finish it on your phone.
