Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport employees, confidential documents, and parcels to various offices, client sites, and partner locations across Kampala.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections covering oil levels, tire pressure, brake function, lights, and fluid levels to ensure each vehicle meets safety standards before departure.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness by washing exteriors, vacuuming interiors, and arranging for routine servicing, while promptly reporting any mechanical faults to the maintenance team.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations, company driving policies, and defensive driving techniques to minimize accident risk and protect passengers, cargo, and pedestrians.
- Accurately record trip details, fuel consumption, mileage, and any incidents in logbooks, submitting daily summaries to the transport supervisor for monitoring and compliance.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods, ensuring items are securely fastened, balanced, and handled with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Provide courteous and professional service to passengers, offering assistance with luggage, opening doors, and ensuring a comfortable and safe travel experience.
- Maintain confidentiality of all transported information and items, exercising discretion at all times and reporting any security concerns to the designated officer immediately.
