Job Overview
Youth Platform Africa (YPA) is recruiting 20 Relationship Officers to support its growing operations across Uganda. Relationship Officers will represent YPA professionally while gathering feedback and identifying opportunities for collaboration. Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders through regular communication and follow-up meetings.
- Identify client needs and promote YPA’s programmes and services that align with their objectives and interests.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collect and analyse feedback from interactions to inform programme improvements and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare regular reports on relationship management activities, outcomes, and recommendations for senior management review.
- Represent YPA at events, workshops, and community gatherings to increase visibility and attract new partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in client relations to continuously improve engagement strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Minimum age of 20 years to ensure maturity and professionalism in client-facing responsibilities.
- At least a diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as business, social sciences, or communications.
- Minimum one year of verifiable work experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or client relations roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust, listen actively, and maintain positive long-term relationships with diverse individuals.
Desirable
- Experience working with youth organisations or community-based initiatives in Uganda or similar contexts.
- Proficiency in local languages commonly spoken in Uganda, enhancing engagement with grassroots communities.
- Familiarity with CRM software or digital tools used for tracking interactions and managing client databases.
- Background in public relations, community development, or programme coordination within the NGO sector.
- Willingness to travel within Uganda for field visits, meetings, and outreach activities as required by the role.
