Job Overview

Atmos is hiring event hostesses and atmosphere models for venues, private functions, corporate events and brand activations across Kampala. We have twenty positions open and we fill them continuously as bookings come in.

The work is simple to describe. You attend the event, you greet and welcome guests, and you help the room feel busy and comfortable. Venues and organisers book our hostesses because a well hosted event feels completely different to an unhosted one.

You are paid for your time. You are not expected to serve food or drinks, sell anything, handle cash or work a bar. Those are separate jobs and they are not what this role is.

Most of the women working with us are university students or recent graduates who want reliable extra income that fits around study. We take applicants with no previous experience and brief you on what each booking expects.

Bookings are always agreed in advance. You are given the venue, the date, the hours and the dress code before accepting, and you may turn down any booking without it affecting future offers.

Events run mostly in the evenings and at weekends, which is why the role suits students. A typical booking runs a few hours at a single venue, and you are told the finish time before you agree to it.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at events and private functions
• Attend club nights, launches and corporate activations at venues across Kampala
• Arrive punctually and remain for the complete duration of the agreed booking
• Follow the dress code and presentation standard communicated for each specific event
• Help guests feel comfortable and keep the atmosphere of the room warm and active
• Direct guests to facilities, seating or organisers where the venue requires it
• Communicate your availability clearly so bookings can be staffed without last minute gaps
• Raise any safety concern or difficult situation with your coordinator straight away
• Treat guest and venue information as private, since discretion runs in both directions

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• You are 18 years or older and able to present a valid government identification document
• You are confident meeting and greeting people you have not met before
• You can reach venues around Kampala on the evenings and weekends you accept
• You are contactable on WhatsApp and reliable about confirming or declining bookings
• You are presentable and willing to follow the agreed dress code for each event

Desirable

• Previous hostessing, ushering, promotional, modelling or customer facing experience
• Enrolment at a Kampala university or a recent qualification from a local institution
• Good spoken English and Luganda for welcoming a mixed group of guests
• Availability on Friday and Saturday evenings, when the majority of bookings fall
• A working smartphone for receiving booking details and confirming attendance promptly
