Key Responsibilities

The Customer Service Assistant will perform a variety of tasks aimed at delivering seamless and efficient support to clients and internal teams. Responsibilities include managing front-desk activities, coordinating logistics, and providing accurate information about funeral services. A typical day involves liaising with families, updating service schedules, and coordinating with external vendors such as florists and caterers. The assistant ensures that all client requests are documented and followed up promptly.

  • Maintain accurate client records in the database, update information after each interaction, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Assist in preparing service agreements, obtain necessary signatures, and file completed documents for future reference and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to arrange transportation, floral arrangements, and catering services, ensuring all details align with client wishes.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse clients and colleagues.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or funeral services, showing familiarity with client support processes.
  • Knowledge of Ugandan funeral customs and regulations, enabling accurate guidance to families during arrangements.
  • Fluency in both English and Luganda, allowing effective communication with a broader client base.
