Job Overview

Samani Creations Ltd is recruiting a motivated Sales Executive to support the growth of its furniture and interior design business in Kampala. The role suits a confident sales professional who enjoys meeting customers and converting enquiries into lasting business relationships.

You will split your time between the showroom, field visits, and client meetings, promoting a wide range of furniture products and interior design services. Success in this position requires initiative, strong follow-up, and a passion for delivering an excellent customer experience.

Working closely with the Sales and Marketing team, you will identify new opportunities, nurture leads, and help the company expand its footprint across Uganda’s growing property and décor market.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new sales leads through showroom walk-ins, referrals, field visits, and targeted outreach campaigns.
• Promote and sell the company’s furniture products and interior design services to individual and corporate clients.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Conduct client meetings on-site, in the showroom, and at customer locations to present product options.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales in line with approved company margins and policies.
• Follow up on leads promptly, update the customer database, and provide accurate sales activity reports.
• Work with the marketing team on promotions, product launches, and in-store merchandising activities.
• Stay informed on competitor activity, market trends, and customer preferences within the furniture sector.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• A Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
• At least two years of hands-on sales experience, preferably within furniture, interior design, or related retail.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Valid working hours flexibility, able to work full time from 8am to 5pm, including weekends when required.
• Resident in Uganda with the legal right to work and a willingness to travel within Kampala and beyond.

Desirable

• Experience selling to both retail customers and corporate clients such as offices, hotels, and property developers.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, point of sale software, and basic digital marketing channels.
• Knowledge of furniture trends, interior design principles, and complementary décor products in Uganda.
• A Degree in Marketing, Business, or Interior Design would be an added advantage.
• Existing network of contacts within the real estate, hospitality, or property development sectors.
