This position offers hands‑on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and brand management. The ideal candidate will contribute to campaign planning, social media growth, and the coordination of branding activities for branch stockists and renovation projects.

Working in a fast‑paced environment, you will develop valuable skills while helping the company expand its reach and improve customer engagement throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, and email newsletters to promote water and energy solutions.
  • Manage and grow the company’s social media presence by creating engaging posts, scheduling content calendars, responding to comments, and analyzing engagement metrics daily.
  • Develop, schedule, and monitor engaging marketing content such as graphics, short videos, and persuasive copy for branch promotions, product launches, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Coordinate branch stockist branding by ensuring all promotional materials, signage, and merchandise adhere to company brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency across locations.
  • Support and monitor branch renovation and branding activities, liaising with contractors, internal teams, and suppliers to ensure timely completion and brand alignment.
  • Track campaign performance using analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights, compile periodic reports, and provide actionable recommendations for future marketing improvements.

Candidates should possess a solid foundation in marketing principles and practical experience in executing campaigns. The role demands creativity, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams to achieve brand objectives.

Essential

  • Minimum two years of hands‑on experience in digital marketing, branding, or marketing coordination, with proven ability to manage campaigns from concept to execution.
  • Strong knowledge of social media management platforms, content creation techniques, and online campaign execution strategies, including paid advertising and organic growth tactics.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently, prioritize tasks, and work under minimal supervision while maintaining high organizational standards and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure clear messaging and successful project delivery.

Possessing these essential qualifications enables the Marketing Assistant to effectively contribute to campaign execution, maintain brand consistency, and support the company’s growth objectives across its Ugandan branches and ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives.

Desirable

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social for scheduling and analytics.
  • Experience using graphic design tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or basic Photoshop to create visual content for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Basic understanding of analytics platforms including Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Instagram Insights to measure campaign performance and audience engagement.
  • Previous exposure to the water, energy, or utilities sector in Uganda or East Africa, with knowledge of industry trends and customer needs.

While not mandatory, experience with graphic design tools, analytics platforms, or sector‑specific knowledge can enhance the assistant’s ability to create compelling content and measure campaign impact effectively. These skills also facilitate smoother collaboration with internal teams and external agencies.
