Two Cafeteria Attendant positions are now available to support the daily dining experience for staff and visitors. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness, preparing beverages, and ensuring a welcoming environment in the company cafeteria.

Key Responsibilities

The Cafeteria Attendant will play a vital role in keeping the dining area tidy, stocked, and ready for use throughout the workday. Responsibilities include serving drinks, clearing tables, and assisting with basic hospitality tasks for employees and guests.

• Keep the dining area clean at all times by sweeping floors, wiping tables, and ensuring chairs are properly arranged for staff use.
• Ensure that staff have all necessary items to enjoy their meal by stocking condiments, utensils, and napkins before each shift begins.
• Help facilitate an efficient dining environment by monitoring traffic flow, replenishing supplies promptly, and guiding users to available seating.
• Prepare and serve tea to staff during breaks and to visitors during meetings, ensuring proper temperature and presentation standards.
• Always remove dirty dishes, clean tables, and replace linens to maintain a hygienic and welcoming dining space for everyone.
• Ensure secure storage of all cleaning materials, label solutions correctly, and dispose of waste according to company safety procedures.
• Serve water, soft drinks, coffee, and snacks to visitors and senior management team members while maintaining courteous and professional service.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when stock levels fall below acceptable thresholds, ensuring timely replenishment.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

Candidates must possess formal training in hotel management or institutional catering and demonstrate practical experience in a similar service role. The following qualifications are required to be considered for the Cafeteria Attendant position.

• Hold a certificate in Hotel Management and Institutional Catering from a recognized university, with coursework in food safety and sanitation.
• Have at least one year of experience working in a cafeteria, hotel, or office food service environment.
• Demonstrate ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Show capability to maintain calm and composure under pressure while managing multiple tasks efficiently and prioritizing workload effectively.
• Be below 28 years of age as specified in the job requirements for this position.

Desirable

While not mandatory, additional qualifications and attributes can strengthen a candidate’s application and may be advantageous during the selection process. The following points are considered desirable but not essential.

• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting, understanding industry-specific hygiene standards and sanitation protocols and familiarity with medical terminology related to nutrition products.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques, including snack assembly, beverage brewing methods, and proper portion control for staff meals.
• Strong communication skills enabling clear interaction with diverse staff members, visiting senior management, and external vendors when needed.
• Ability to prioritize workload effectively, ensuring that high-priority tasks are completed before less urgent duties, and adjusting plans as needed.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor, supporting overall cafeteria operations and contributing to a positive work environment.
