Job Overview
Darling Uganda is seeking a dedicated Data Entrant to join our growing team in Uganda. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data management processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling data from collection through to reporting, supporting informed decision-making across the organization.
In this role, you will work closely with team leaders and representatives to maintain high standards of data integrity. Your contributions will directly impact the quality of insights derived from our data systems. Key Responsibilities
- Collect and enter data into the database accurately and efficiently following established protocols.
- Compile and analyze data to create clear reports and presentations for management review.
- Interpret data sets to identify trends, patterns, and develop actionable insights for business improvement.
- Collaborate with respective representatives and team leaders to verify data accuracy and currency.
- Ensure all data is entered into the system in a timely and accurate manner to meet operational deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of all data entries and documentation for audit and reference purposes.
- Identify and report any data discrepancies to the appropriate team leaders for prompt resolution.
- Perform other administrative duties as required to support team objectives and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- A minimum of a diploma in any discipline from a recognised institution or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in data entry, data management, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including formulas, sorting, and basic data analysis functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey findings and collaborate with team members.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy to ensure data integrity throughout all processing stages.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team environment.
Desirable
- Familiarity with CRM systems and their data input and reporting functionalities is considered an advantage.
- Experience with data visualization tools or basic statistical analysis techniques would be beneficial.
- Prior experience working in a Ugandan business environment or with local data collection methodologies.
- Knowledge of data privacy principles and basic data governance practices relevant to the Ugandan context.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
