Astria Learning is seeking a dynamic Admissions Counselor Tele-Sales Representative to join their growing team in Uganda. This role focuses on converting prospective student leads into enrolled candidates through proactive outreach and personalized guidance. The position plays a vital role in driving enrollment revenue and supporting the institution’s growth objectives.

The successful candidate will engage with prospective students daily via phone, WhatsApp, and email to introduce academic programs and encourage applications. They will provide clear information about offerings, financial requirements, and timelines while maintaining a supportive approach. This is a full-time position based in Uganda with standard working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience in admissions, sales, or customer service. Fluency in English is essential for effective communication with diverse applicants. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily outreach to prospective students via phone, WhatsApp, and email to introduce programs and encourage application submissions.
  • Provide clear and compelling information about academic offerings, financial requirements, and enrollment timelines to all inquiries.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to student questions, maintaining a supportive and solution-oriented approach throughout interactions.
  • Assist applicants in completing required forms and submitting all necessary documentation for review.
  • Review application submissions for completeness and flag any missing or unclear information to ensure timely processing.
  • Evaluate initial eligibility criteria based on program requirements and communicate next steps clearly to applicants.
  • Provide personalized support throughout the admissions journey, addressing individual concerns and guiding applicants step-by-step.
  • Clarify academic program structures, enrollment fees, deadlines, and expectations to help students make informed decisions.
  • Explain payment procedures for enrollment fees and deposits clearly, then follow up consistently to secure timely payments.
  • Track all outreach activities and application statuses in the CRM system to maintain accurate records and forecast enrollment.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in admissions, student recruitment, tele-sales, or customer service roles.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed enrollment targets through proactive outreach and effective communication strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, email platforms, and basic Microsoft Office applications for daily tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset and ability to build rapport quickly with diverse individuals.

Desirable

  • Experience working in the education sector, particularly with higher education institutions or online learning platforms.
  • Knowledge of Ugandan education systems, accreditation bodies, and common student financing options.
  • Familiarity with WhatsApp Business API or similar tools for scalable customer engagement.
  • Basic understanding of student visa processes for international applicants, if applicable to programs offered.
  • Experience with data entry and report generation to support admissions team performance tracking.
  • Additional language skills such as Luganda or Swahili to better serve local applicant populations.
