Job Overview

BrighterMonday Consulting is seeking a highly skilled IT Techno-Functional Manager to lead SAP S/4HANA ABAP development initiatives in Uganda. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA solutions to align technical architecture with business objectives and digital transformation goals.
• Manage a team of functional consultants and ABAP developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Establish and enforce technical governance standards, coding best practices, and system integration protocols across all SAP-related projects.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into robust technical specifications and comprehensive solution designs.
• Oversee the lifecycle management of SAP systems, including upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing system metrics, gathering user feedback, and implementing iterative enhancements to maximize ROI.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in SAP implementation, with at least 4 years in a managerial or lead role focusing on ABAP development.
• Proven track record of successful SAP S/4HANA implementations and system integrations across multiple business domains.
• Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including advanced techniques such as OOP, ALV reports, and IDocs for seamless data exchange.

Desirable

• Masters degree in Business Administration, IT Management, or a related discipline to enhance strategic leadership capabilities.
• Certification in SAP S/4HANA solution management or project management methodologies such as PMP or PRINCE2.
• Experience working with Agile frameworks like Scrum or SAFe to deliver iterative solutions in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based SAP solutions and integration tools such as SAP Cloud Platform for extended enterprise capabilities.
