Job Overview

NFT Consult is seeking a dynamic Sales Head to lead the national sales performance across its extensive branch network in Uganda and beyond. This senior leadership role carries full accountability for driving sales growth, market expansion, and profitability across motorcycle sales and related financial services. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial strategy.

The position requires a commercially astute professional with deep experience in managing multi-branch sales operations, particularly within the automotive or motorcycle sector. You will be responsible for aligning sales efforts with financing solutions to ensure seamless customer experiences while maintaining rigorous credit standards. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing pan-African BPO enterprise.

Based in Kampala, the Sales Head will work closely with regional teams, finance, supply chain, and dealer networks to achieve ambitious monthly and annual targets. The role demands strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to build high-performing teams in a competitive market environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the branch-network sales P&L, covering motorcycles and the sales contribution of genuine parts, oil, tyres, and batteries to ensure profitability.
  • Lead and manage Regional Managers and Cluster Heads by setting clear regional and branch targets and monitoring consistent delivery against goals.
  • Drive pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, sales throughput, and market-share growth while responding effectively to competitive activities including new entrants.
  • Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with dealers, retail financiers, bulk buyers, and other channel partners to expand market reach.
  • Ensure optimal stock mix at all branches through close coordination with dispatch and supply teams to minimize stock-outs and overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to align motorcycle sales with loan origination processes while maintaining approved credit quality standards.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement timely corrective actions to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales performance reports to the General Manager during structured Monthly Business Reviews.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing sales culture through effective coaching, performance management, and accountability mechanisms for all field teams.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in sales, distribution, or multi-branch leadership within the automotive or motorcycle sector in East Africa.
  • Proven track record of managing a sales P&L and leading a regional or multi-branch field sales structure with measurable results.
  • Demonstrated success in driving market-share growth, developing dealer networks, and expanding into new territories or customer segments.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in sales forecasting, budget management, and performance reporting using data-driven insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to influence stakeholders at all levels, from frontline staff to senior executives.

Desirable

  • Experience working with financial services or asset financing models integrated with product sales, particularly in two-wheeler or vehicle financing.
  • Familiarity with ERP or CRM systems used for sales tracking, inventory management, and customer relationship management in distributed operations.
  • Knowledge of electric vehicle (EV) market trends and emerging mobility solutions relevant to East Africa’s evolving transport sector.
  • Previous exposure to business process outsourcing (BPO) environments or companies operating across multiple African countries.
  • Advanced Excel or Power BI skills for sales analytics, dashboard creation, and executive reporting to support strategic decision-making.

What the Role Offers

  • Competitive monthly salary commensurate with experience, performance-based bonuses, and annual increments tied to company and individual achievements.
  • Company-provided vehicle or transport allowance to facilitate branch visits across Uganda and regional travel to neighboring country offices.
  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage for employee and immediate dependents, including access to private healthcare facilities in Kampala.
  • Formal opportunities for professional development including leadership training, industry conferences, and potential regional mobility within NFT Consult’s network.
  • Performance recognition programs, annual leave entitlements, and statutory benefits including NSSF contributions as per Ugandan labor law.
